Health inequity is one of the most critical challenges in the US health care system, and an issue that requires payment and related delivery system redesign.

Together with colleagues, internal medicine physician and internationally recognized policy expert Joshua Liao has worked to organize a call to action and steps for using systems change to promote health equity.

Health Equity Conversations supports that goal. Dr. Liao designed and hosted this limited series between 2022-2023 during his tenure as Associate Chair for Health Systems at the University of Washington.

Through the series, Dr. Liao led a series of discussions with people and groups around the country working to improve equity through health care payment, delivery, and other systems change. The series garnered interest and attention from policy and practice leaders around the country, helping elevate health equity-related issues to a diverse audience.
